Tribute for my Auntie Elaine who died on November 30th 2003 at the age of 42 years young. She was my only blood Auntie and my best friend! She was my dad's little sister and everyone use to say (and still does) how I was the double of her. She went in a coma (had a bleed in her brain) when I was younger and I can remember being told I was too young to visit her this tore me apart she eventually came out of hospital but was told she was a ticking time bomb. I would sleep over whenever I could and she use to tell me allsorts of stories when I was young, then when I was old enough we would share everything, we'd talk for hours, sharing secrets that she's taken to her grave with her and I will mine. She looked after her cousins daughter Vicky who she loved as her own, she was told she would never have her own but eventually gave birth to Liam in 1990, he was her life,she had nearly 13 years with him. As I grew older and had my own family we didnt see as much of each other but we kept in touch and she was always close to my heart. I loved her like a big sister rather than an Auntie. Then 19 years after the 1st coma I got the dreaded phone call, early saturday morning, she'd been rushed to hospital with a bleed in her brain again, this time there was nothing we could do. I sat with her and brushed her hair made her look her best so Liam could say goodbye, it was the worse day in my life. I didnt want to let go but I knew there was no choice. She carried a donor card and my Uncle Gordon asked me if I was ok with her saving someone elses life, how could I say no, it turned out she saved four peoples lives which is what she would have wanted. I just wish she was still here, so much has happened since she passed away I miss her so much. I know shes watching over me and I just hope shes still proud of me, its been hard but I know Im going to see her again one day.
